The primary goal of Rosel Heim nature+science is the maintenance of healthy skin and all its vital functions.

1. The skin is an essential component of the immune system: Every cell of the epidermis impacts and communicates with all other cells of an organism’s immune system. The consequences of applying unfamiliar substances to the skin are not confined to the body’s surface; the entire immune system is also affected.

2. The bacterial flora of the skin is useful and important: It produces the hydrolipidic film, regulates the regeneration of the horn layer and performs a considerable share of our body’s outer defense against foreign, injurious germs.

3. The skins cell reserves are limited: Aging is an inevitable, one-way process. Because age is defined by the cell division undergone by the skin, accelerated cell division means accelerated aging.
